In first-century Palestine, the way Jesus viewed and treated women was revolutionary. Unlike most men of his generation and culture, Jesus treated all women with honor and respect, and taught that women and men were equal in God’s eyes. Whether serving on the governing board, serving a meal, preparing communion, singing, teaching, praying, or believing, women are special here at North Park Community Church. Here are some of our women’s activities:
Women’s Home and Foreign Missions Society – meets for lunch on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. to learn about, support and do the work of telling others about Jesus here in our community and around the world.
Women’s Fellowship – meets for dinner the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. This group undertakes the Easter breakfast, camperships and other projects.
Church Women United – meets the first Friday of each month. Through prayer, study and action, Church Women United celebrates and strengthens a diverse community of Christian sisterhood and action.
Women’s retreat – held in the fall each year at Camp Maranatha in Idyllwild California.
